About us : Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD)
is an autonomous educational institution established by the Government
of Kerala in 1987. The institute is registered under The Travancore –
Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable societies registrations Act
12 of 1955. The Institute's Memorandum of Association and its rules and
regulations have been judiciously framed with built-in growth
provisions. The management of the institute is vested with a Governing
Body composed of with the Hon’ble Minister of Education, Kerala State,
as the Chairman and Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department,
Government of Kerala as the Vice-Chairman.

About us :
The Bharathiar University was established at Coimbatore by the
Government of Tamilnadu in February, 1982 under the provision of the
Bharathiar University Act, 1981 (Act 1 of 1982). The Postgraduate Centre
of the University of Madras, which was functioning in Coimbatore before
1982 formed the core of the Bharathiar University. In May, 1985 the
University received the recognition from University Grants Commission
(UGC) New Delhi for the purpose of grants.
