About us :Ordnance Equipment Factory, Kanpur (OEFC) is one of the oldest and important equipment manufacturing unit among forty ordnance factories functioning under Ordnance Factory Board, Kolkota (Ministry of Defence), Govt. of India. Ordnance Equipment Factory, Kanpur is situated on the bank of holy river Ganga at the distance of 4 Kms from the Railway Station. The nearest Airport is called Amousi, Lucknow at the distance of 78 Kms. OEFC established in the year 1859 was known as Govt. Harness & Saddlery Factory specially for repair and fabrication of harness & saddlery items for British troops. The activities were diversified in three distinct technologies viz. Leather, Textile and Engineering for Indian armed forces.
