About us :Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning (formerly Regional Training Institute) Avadi is one of the 8 institutes established by Ordnance Factory Board, Kolkata (Govt of India, Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production & Supplies) in the year 1996 for catering to the needs of training in respect of Gr "B" and Gr "C" officers and staff employed in six southern group of factories and their allied establishments. These factories are Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Engine Factory, Avadi, Ordnance Clothing Factory, Avadi, Ordnance Factory, Tiruchirapalli, Heavy Alloy Penetrator Project, Tiruchirapalli & Cordite Factory, Aruvankadu (Near Ooty).
