JNU Recruitment 2014 : Applications are invited for the below-mentioned positions in the DBT sponsored network project entitled "Functional Characterization of an endosperm specific promoter p1028 from common buckwheat and transfer of Bwleg1 gene coding for the buckwheat 26 kDa lysine rich seed storage protein to rice for nutritional enhancement of its grain proteins.". The duration of the project is for 3 (three) years. Initial appointment will be for one year, extendable by another successive year depending on the progress of the candidate.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Botany with 2 years of research experience in related fields.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in plant molecular biology, plant tissue culture, Plant stress physiology etc.
Emoluments: Rs.18,000/- + 30% HRA.
